Kepuro™Help tradies get paid faster
Safety

Stay safe on every job.

Most of what makes a job dangerous is already known by the last tradie who was there. Kepuro passes it on, and keeps an eye on you when you're working alone.

Three tools, all free

  • Site notes shared between trades
  • Lone-worker check-in with a panic button
  • Scam alerts from tradies in your area

Site notes

About the site, never the person

Dogs, access, hazards, where the toby is, gate codes to ask for. Anything that helps the next trade turn up prepared. Nothing about the customer.

Seen only by verified tradies with a job at that address, and by the homeowner, who can reply or ask for a note to be removed.

Lone-worker check-in

  1. Check in when you arrivePick a time (an hour, two hours). A reminder comes ten minutes before it runs out, and you can extend it with one tap.
  2. If you don't check outYour alert contact (a partner, a mate, the office) gets an email and an app alert with your location and the address you checked in at.
  3. Panic buttonSends the same alert right now, from any screen.
  4. No signal? The check-in is saved on your phone and sent the moment you're back in coverage. Check-ins are kept 90 days, then deleted, and only you and your alert contact ever see them.

Scam alerts

The ones doing the rounds

“Overpaid, please refund the difference”Fake job texts. The original payment bounces after you've refunded.
Active
“Our bank account has changed”Fake supplier emails. Always phone the number you already have.
Active
“Pay a deposit to hold the booking”Someone posing as a tradie, using a real business's name.
Watch
“Click to see your overdue invoice”Fake accounting-software and bank emails.

How it works

A tradie reports a scam in two lines. Tradies in the same region see it the same day, with a count of how many have reported it. Old alerts fade out after a month unless reports keep coming.

If someone is using your business name to scam customers, report it and we'll put a note on your public listing so customers can check they've got the real you.

Emergency and help

Emergency: 111

Police, fire or ambulance. If you feel unsafe on a job, leave first, then deal with the rest.

Serious injury on site

Notifiable events must be reported to WorkSafe NZ. Kepuro keeps the steps and the form link in one place so you're not searching for them on a bad day.
