Kepuro doesn't rate people. It shows what's already public, and lets customers who pay on time prove it. That's the whole idea.
In one sentence
A tradie checks a name, phone or address; Kepuro shows public ownership and company records plus any record the customer has chosen to share; the tradie does the job, leaves site notes, and invites the customer; the customer's record and home logbook grow.
Where the information comes from
LINZ property records
Who the registered owner of an address is. Kepuro only answers one question with it: does this name match the owner? The owner's details are never shown or stored.
NZ Companies Office and NZBN
Company status, directors, shareholders, annual returns and history. All public, checked live each time.
Verified tradies
Paid-job counts, average days to pay, site notes and scam reports. Every one of them comes from a verified member after a real, paid job.
The customer
Their name, suburb and which trades they've used. They decide what's shared, and can change it or leave at any time.
The tradie's side
- CheckType a name, phone or address. Or switch to Company or builder and type a company name, number or director. Free and unlimited.
- Read the resultOwner match, Kepuro record, connected businesses, site notes from other trades, and jobs logged at the address. Nothing from this search is saved.
- Start the jobStart a job at the address and check in if you're working alone. Add a site note for the next trade if there's something they should know.
- Invoice and inviteInvoice the right person or company. Once it's paid, invite the customer. If they say yes, the job is counted. If they say no, nothing is recorded.
The customer's side
- JoinFrom a tradie's invitation email, or from this site. Email only, no texts.
- Choose what's sharedName and suburb, level, counts and trades used. Not your phone, email or address.
- Watch the record growEvery paid job with a verified tradie adds a tick. Four tradies makes you Trusted, ten makes you Gold.
- Use the logbookCertificates, warranties, what's due next, and one-tap booking of the tradie who did it last time.
What Kepuro never does
- Never shows a bad mark, a complaint, a rating or an unpaid invoice
- Never stores anything about a person who hasn't joined
- Never shows an owner's name from the property record, only whether it matches
- Never shows a customer's phone, email or address to anyone they haven't shared it with
- Never texts anyone. Everything is by email, and you can turn each kind of email off
- Never sells your data or shows ads based on who you are. Ads are by area only
- Never charges tradies or customers for the core service
- Never hides a site note from the homeowner. They can see them and ask for one to be removed
